European Society of Dermatopathology
A scientific society of clinicians, pathologists and researchers advancing the diagnosis and study of cutaneous disease - through education, the journal Dermatopathology, and the ICDP-UEMS Board Certification.
About the Society
The European Society of Dermatopathology (ESDP) was first established in Zurich in 1979 and officially founded as a non-profit organisation in Geneva in 2016. The Society brings together clinicians, pathologists and researchers across the European continent who are dedicated to advancing the diagnosis and study of cutaneous disease.
The aims of the Society include: educating through the organisation of meetings and slide-set workshops; supporting trainees in pathology and dermatology; standardising quality criteria of performance in dermatopathology; and stewarding the European Diploma of Dermatopathology — the equivalent of the American Board Examination — accessible to both pathologists and dermatologists.
